Red Bull posts each campus or city as its own vacancy, so search “Student Marketeer” on the portal and filter by your country and university. Red Bull states that all legitimate job opportunities are published on jobs.redbull.com. Treat any other site that asks for money or personal documents upfront with suspicion.

What is the Red Bull Student Marketeer programme?

It is a campus brand-ambassador role. Marketeers drive brand image and product understanding on campus and in the region, reporting to a local Field Marketing Specialist. You become the face of Red Bull among your fellow students.

According to a Red Bull recruitment poster, the programme has run since 1987 and has over 4,000 student marketeers worldwide. That poster dates from 2024, so treat the number as approximate.

What you will actually do

Based on current 2026 listings, the work falls into four areas:

  • Brand and product ambassador. You approach consumers to drive positive product trial and awareness, and help establish Red Bull consumption in different moments of need.
  • Events. You work at campus activations and Red Bull-supported events to deliver a memorable consumer experience.
  • Sales support. You build relationships with local sales account managers so Red Bull stays available and visible on and around campus.
  • Content and community. Some listings ask you to identify local student content creators in relevant Red Bull scenes and bring them into the World of Red Bull.

You also plan and report your activity. A South African listing says you plan and report through Red Bull’s dedicated online platform. Treat the admin as part of the job.

Who can apply

Requirements vary by country and campus, but these are common:

  • Current student status. Nigerian listings require you to be a current undergraduate at the specific university named in the ad. You can usually only apply for your own campus.
  • Any degree. One South African guide notes that students from any discipline can apply. edupstairs
  • Personality. Red Bull looks for excellent communication skills and a charismatic, energetic, positive and outgoing personality. You should be approachable and able to relate to different people.
  • Campus knowledge. You should be immersed in student life, with a thorough understanding of the university and local culture.
  • Team spirit. Nigerian listings want a team player willing to wear branded outfits and ride in the Red Bull Mini.
  • Flexibility. Hours can include evenings and weekends.

First-year students, TVET students and others should check the individual listing. Eligibility depends on the campus and country.

Is it paid?

Usually yes. A South African guide says Student Marketeer roles are typically compensated part-time positions, though structures may differ by campus. In Australia, a past listing showed casual award rates and 18 hours plus, but that listing is from 2024. The exact pay and hours for your campus are in the vacancy itself.

How to apply, step by step

  1. Open the portal. Go to https://jobs.redbull.com and search “Student Marketeer”.
  2. Find your campus. Choose the listing for your university or city. Some, like Pretoria, are already listed for 2027.
  3. Read the ad carefully. Note the deadline, location and requirements.
  4. Prepare your social links. South African applicants are asked to share links to active social media handles where they create authentic content, to show how they might promote Red Bull.
  5. Update your CV. Put campus involvement, society roles, part-time work, and any sales or events experience first.
  6. Submit and confirm. Check your email, including spam, for follow-ups.
  7. Prepare for the next stage. This is likely an interview or a short task. Red Bull doesn’t publish this on every ad, so confirm on the official page.

How to stand out

  • Show you already live the brand. Mention the events, sports or creative scenes you are part of, with specifics.
  • Treat your social media as a portfolio. Authentic, consistent content beats a large follower count.
  • Bring campus ideas. Suggest a sampling spot, a society collaboration or an event tie-in.
  • Show you can work independently. The role rewards self-starters who plan and report on time.
  • Be energetic but professional. Interviewers want someone who represents the brand well.

Skills and career benefits

You will practise sales, negotiation, event execution, content creation, networking and reporting. These transfer well to marketing, sales, brand management and events careers. The same guide mentions possible internal Red Bull opportunities afterwards, but there is no guarantee. Treat it as a strong CV line and network-builder, not a promised job.

Scam warning

Genuine Red Bull recruitment does not charge application fees. Before you apply, check that:

  • The link goes to jobs.redbull.com.
  • Nobody asks you to pay for a “kit”, “training” or “slot”.
  • You are not asked for ID or banking details before a formal offer.

Before you apply: checklist

  • Confirm you are enrolled at the campus named in the listing.
  • Check the deadline and apply early.
  • Gather your social media links.
  • Update your CV.
  • Think of two or three campus activation ideas.
  • Confirm availability for evenings and weekends.

Frequently asked questions

Can I apply to more than one campus? Usually no. Listings are tied to your own university.

Do I need prior experience? Not always. The ads emphasise personality and attitude, and an interest in learning marketing, negotiation and sales.

When do applications open? Listings appear throughout the year. Postings I found run from mid-2026, with some already titled for 2027. Check the portal regularly.

Is this an official Red Bull programme? Yes, when you apply through jobs.redbull.com.

Application windows, pay and requirements change by country and campus, so confirm final details on the official Red Bull listing before you apply.
